Sports Foundation golf day results

The Duke of York Sports Foundation’s annual golf day, hosted by HRH The Duke of York, was held at Swinley Forest on Wednesday 13th May and saw some notable performances from the participating players.

Stanley Fink and his guests Moni Varma, Surinder Arora and Andy Warren won the team stableford event with an impressive 128 points. The other prize winners were the Mizuno, Ricoh and JSA Kingsbarns teams.

Edward and Alex (brother and sister) are both beneficiaries of the Duke of York Sports Foundation scholarship programme at Wellington College, having joined the school in September. Partnered with Stiggy Hodgson (winner of the 2008 Duke of York Young Champions Trophy) and HRH The Duke of York, they finished in 5th place out of the 12 competing teams. Alex’s back nine of 30 (5 under par) was a fantastic performance in the wet conditions and showed why her handicap is +2 at just 15 years of age.
