Champions battle for place in British Amateur final

England’s Sam Hutsby and Stiggy Hodgson, both winners of the DOY YCT in 2006 and 2008 respectively, are currently going head-to-head in the semi-finals of the British Amateur Championship at Formby Club Golf. All square at the 16th, there is everything to play for over the final holes.

The winner will play Matteo Manassero, the 16 year Italian, who beat Tennessee-based Englishman Darren Renwick to secure his place in tomorrow’s final. Matteo also played in the DOY YCT in 2007.
